From an interview by Publisher's Weekly, the Authors Guild CEO Mary Rasenberger had a positive view on the deal with respect to splitting payments with authors and protective terms against reproduction. HarperAcademic is the Academic Department of HarperCollins, which includes non-fiction titles and instructor resources for high school and college levels. Though specifc titles for licensed content were not disclosed, the AI agreement may have included HarperAcademic content.
